Who we are

We are a nonprofit dedicated to creating safe spaces for children and teens. Built on a foundation of prayer, Babysister's Haven provides encouragement, spiritual growth, and resources for today's youth and their families.

Our History

More than a name

My mother’s nickname was Babysister. She wasn’t the youngest in her family, and to this day, I don’t know why they called her that. But what I do know is that she was a prayer warrior. We often speak about generational curses, but let’s not forget—there are generational blessings too. The spiritual gifts we carry were first planted in our parents and grandparents.

I’ve spent the last 26 years in education, working primarily with at-risk students. My “why” has always been deeply personal: I was my brother’s babysitter, and growing up with him taught me how to love and lead tough kids. That experience shaped my calling.

Today, I’m proud to announce that our nonprofit organization has officially received 501(c)(3) status. As we invest in the youth and community of Marshall, your contributions will now be tax-deductible.

Prayer is the foundation of everything we do. It’s the legacy our mother left us—and it works. I’ve witnessed miracles, signs, and wonders. We invite you to join us in our mission to uplift the next generation and to stand with us in prayer.

Pray with us! Plan your next event with us

We’re inviting passionate individuals, schools, churches, and community groups to join forces with Babysister’s Haven in creating events that uplift and empower youth in our neighborhoods. Whether it’s a mentorship workshop, a creative arts day, or a resource fair, your partnership can spark joy, build resilience, and foster connection. Let’s collaborate to create safe, inspiring spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Ready to help shape a brighter future? Let’s build it—one event at a time.
